We attract birds to our small garden in Oxford. We have a beautiful feeder that is (mostly) squirrel proof. I always feel so special when the songbirds come to visit.
Really stunning writing Christina. I loved the very physical descriptions of it all, a great reminder to me to keep it real, write what I see, hear, smell. Beautiful. Xx
Just beautiful Christina. "Outside is loud and unpredictable" - so true, and it's what often keeps me inclined to hermit. It's angry people, the rush and cacophony of so called modern life which I find draining.
However, nature is always soothing, empowering and restoring - no matter if it's summer or winter.
I love this. Thank you. Love the photo too. So important to take our children out into the essence of life itself. 💜
Thanks Jo 🙏🏻 Your comment made me think about how I love spilling out into a vibrant city street or onto farm lanes. It’s the in-between I struggle with. The unexpectedness of it perhaps.

Little bringers of joy. We were watching a woodpecker on my mum’s feeders yesterday. Such a treat to see.

Thank you Lynne, loved the realness of your recent piece. x

I love that moment of connection you describe, Christina. Fleeting but precious.
Thanks Lindsay, for feeling the depths of it.
